Palmetto, Florida – Traffic on northbound U.S. Highway 19 is blocked at 61st Street East on Friday night because of a fatal crash, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
The two-car crash occurred around 4:45 p.m.
One person is confirmed dead, the FHP said, and others are injured.
Motorists should avoid the area if possible.
