TAMPA, Fla. — The Courtney Campbell Causeway heading to Tampa is back open to traffic following a crash Wednesday afternoon, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
The crash reportedly happened before 4 p.m. in the eastbound lanes.
Traffic cameras show several law enforcement vehicles have responded with their emergency lights, though the exact nature of the crash is unclear. It's also unknown whether anyone was hurt. Traffic appears to be getting by slowly in one lane.
Drivers heading into the evening rush can consider taking the Howard Frankland Bridge or the Gandy Bridge to cross Tampa Bay to get to Tampa.
