PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — A 32-year-old woman from Citra, Florida, died from her injuries after her car collided nearly head-on with a road-marking truck Tuesday night on U.S. Highway 301 in Pasco County.
The crash occurred around 10:34 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The woman was driving northbound while the truck was traveling southbound, troopers said. Just north of Mattingly Drive, the woman lost control of her car before crossing the median into the southbound lanes and colliding with the truck.
The woman died from her injuries at the scene, FHP said. The driver and passenger in the road-marking truck were uninjured.
