TAMPA, Fla. — Ashley Drive is back open after it was closed for more than 24 hours due to broken glass from the adjacent Regions Bank building.
No one was injured, but police closed the road Tuesday morning between Jackson Street and Whiting Street as a precaution.
Police say a window broke on the 27th floor of the Regions Bank building on North Tampa Street during construction. Shards of glass fell into the roadway and into MacDill Park.
Crews worked to put up scaffolding in order to make repairs to the building. Repairs were completed Wednesday afternoon.
