Tampa to host tech show: What you need to know

Major tech companies will demonstrate their latest products and offer career opportunities for free.

TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa will transform one of its city centers into a hub of innovation and opportunity for its first-ever Tech Show.

The event is geared mostly toward tech enthusiasts, business owners and job seekers, but the general public is welcome to become immersed in new technology, according to a news release.

The free show will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the City Center at Hanna Avenue.

The release said that visitors to the show will experience hands-on demonstrations of cutting-edge technology. The event also hosts opportunities for those looking for career roles to discuss plans with top tech recruiters, encouraging job seekers to use the event to network.

A variety of local food trucks will also be available for all attendees.

"Tampa's first Tech Show is an incredible chance for our community to engage with cutting-edge technology, explore new career paths, or just enjoy a fun and interactive day inside the City Center," Mayor Jane Castor said in a statement. "We are committed to innovation in how we serve our city and creating opportunities for our residents."

Major companies will attend, including Verizon Mobile, Panasonic Rugged and Pitisci & Associates. Other tech companies at the show are CDW-G, SHI, HP, BUP, Imperium Data, AVI-SPL, Neat and Fortinet.

The companies will showcase their newest tech products and solutions to modern-day issues. The presentations are perfect for anyone interested in recent trends in business and personal technology, according to a news release. IT professionals and those looking to stay ahead of the technological curve are encouraged to attend.
