WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — All businesses are out of power along Havendale Boulevard in Winter Haven after a driver crashed into a power pole on Sunday morning.

Winter Haven police said that at about 4:48 a.m., the driver of a Honda Accord was going east on Havendale Boulevard when they veered off the streets at 16th Street and hit the pole, according to a news release. This pulled lines that took out power from businesses at Havendale Boulevard and 20th Street to MLK and First Street.

All eastbound traffic is shut down on the road. Police said traffic signals are down so drivers need to be extra careful.

There is no timeframe for power restoration due to the need for additional equipment to start repairs, according to police. The driver of the car was not injured and police said impairment doesn't seem to be the cause of the crash.
