A newly discovered species of glass frog in Costa Rica looks suspiciously similar to a certain green Muppet.
Dr. Brian Kubicki, says his discovery of Hyalinobatrachium dianae is an indication of a healthy ecosystem in the country's southern mountain region area.Glass frogs are only found in certain parts of Central and South America. They are characterized by skin so translucent, that their organs are visible.
The scientist who found this new species says it was clearly different due to its coloring, skin texture and the distinctive sound of its call.
The frog is described as Kermit-like... because they appear to have the same eyes.
