TAMPA, Fla. — World Oceans Day is on June 8, 2021, and it’s all about protecting the oceans. Planet earth needs clean waters to sustain itself; and our oceans face huge risks from climate change, pollution and overfishing.
Living in Florida, and especially in the Tampa Bay area, we are blessed to enjoy some of the nicest beaches around. That is why it is our job to keep them clean.
Here are five ocean cleanup events to be a part of to celebrate World Oceans Day by keeping Mother Earth’s waters tidy.
