Richmond, Virginia - Seth Greenberg is leaving the University of South Florida to become Virginia Tech’s basketball coach.Greenberg was introduced at an afternoon news conference on Thursday. He replaces Ricky Stokes, who was fired last month after a 45-and-70 record in four seasons.Virginia Tech hired Greenberg to turn around its basketball program after three straight losing seasons.Greenberg had a 213-and-170 record in 13 years of coaching, six at Long Beach State and the last seven at South Florida in Tampa.He went 108-and-100 with the Bulls, who were 15-and-14 this season despite losing two players to injuries and one because of academics.
