(USA TODAY) -- Peyton Manning once again has etched his name into NFL history.
Manning broke Brett Favre's career passing yards record (71,838) on Sunday in the Denver Broncos' game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He eclipsed the mark in the first quarter, needing just 3 yards entering the day to top it.
The five-time NFL MVP already held the all-time touchdown passing record, having broken Favre's mark last October.
Manning also entered the game tied with Favre for career wins by a quarterback at 186.
