BALTIMORE – Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco celebrated a 44-20 win over the Detroit Lions in an unusual way, paying homage to a fellow NFL signal caller.
Flacco started his postgame news conference Sunday by licking his fingers and pretending to “eat a W.”
"We talked about it last night," Flacco said. "I was dared to do it, so I had to do it."
The demonstration is a nod to Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, who used the “eat a W” gesture to inspire his teammates before a Week 9 game against the New Orleans Saints.
Winston’s “pep talk” didn’t work. The Saints beat the Buccaneers 30-10.

The Buccaneers (4-8) have lost two straight games and are eliminated from the playoffs.
