ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — College football season soon will come to an end with several Sunshine State teams, including the University of Florida and the University of South Florida, just on the cusp of going bowling.
Three teams, however, have already secured their spots: No. 5 Florida State University (11-0), Florida A&M University (10-1), and the University of Miami (6-5). Florida, Central Florida and South Florida each are 5-6 and need to win their respective games this weekend to punch their ticket to the postseason.
It'll likely be the Florida fans, though, most pushing for a win Saturday over rival Florida State. That game airs at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
If these in-state Florida teams make it to at least a six-win season, it's onto the postseason. We've broken down where the experts think they're heading.
