A few numbers to keep in mind as we zero in on Mayweather-Pacquiao.

1: Number of judges -- in 21 Mayweather fights that have gone the distance -- whose scorecards have been in favor of an opponent (Tom Kaczmarek, in Mayweather's 2007 fight with Oscar De La Hoya).

1: Number of times -- in 47 career fights -- that Mayweather has been offocially knocked down. Another apparent knockdown, against Zab Judah in their 2006 fight, was not called.

2: Number of wins Mayweather needs to match Rocky Marciano's iconic 49-0 career record.

3: Number of times Pacquiao has been knocked out in a professional fight. Most recently, in six rounds by Juan Manuel Marquez at 147 pounds in 2012.

3: Number of welterweight belts at stake May 2. Floyd holds the WBA and WBC belts, while Pacquiao holds the WBO belt.

5: Number of weight classes in which Mayweather has won sanctioning body world title belts.

6:Number of times Pacquiao knocked down Chris Algieri -- his most recent fight

7: Number of weight classes in which Pacquiao has won sanctioning body world title belts.

12: Combined number of Mayweather (seven) or Pacquiao (five) fights previously worked by Saturday's referee, Kenny Bayless.

16: Number of world championship fights Pacquiao has won in his career. He also has three losses and two draws.

24: Number of world championship fights Mayweather has won in his career. He has never lost one, of course.

221: Number of punches landed by Marcos Maidana against Mayweather in May 2014, the most ever by a Mayweather opponent.

800: Number of punches boxing analyst Al Bernstein suggests Pacquiao will have to throw -- an average of nearly 67 per round for 12 rounds -- to have a shot to beat Mayweather.
