Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy warms up during a game against the Ottawa Senators on Nov. 10, 2018, at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy will miss some time with a fractured left foot, the Sports Network’s Darren Dreger reported.

The news comes as the team recalled goalie Eddie Pasquale from the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.

“Tough break for the Lightning. No pun intended. Sounds like Andrei Vasilevsky fractured his left foot and will be out for awhile,” Dreger tweeted.

Pasquale will likely serve as the backup to Lightning goalie Louis Domingue.
