CLEARWATER—The 20th Annual Pinellas County All Star Football Classic pitted the best players from across North and South Pinellas at Clearwater High School.

The North Pinellas team was victorious taking a 27-0 win over the South Pinellas team. This was the first time in the 20 year history of the Classic that the North team delivered a shut out score to the South.

The North Pinellas team was coached by former Tarpon Springs head coach Ron Hawn and the South Pinellas Team was coached by Lakewood head coach Corey Moore. Both received the honors of coaching some of the best seniors throughout the county.

Before the game started, both teams gathered around Northeast football player LeShawn Williams, who received the Mike June Courage Award. Williams had his leg amputated after an injury during a regular season football game.

The game would be a battle royale as both teams struggled to get into the end zone. But the North started things off as Palm Harbor QB Brandon Swift threw a ten yard pass to Palm Harbor's Stephen Charron. The North took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

Both teams struggled in the second quarter to get the ball in the end zone. But Tarpon Springs' Kicker Louis Zervos nailed a 32 yard field goal making it a 10-0 ball game.

The North decided to use the same formula again to get a touchdown when Swift handed the ball to Charron on first and goal for a one yard run into the end zone. The North continued to hold a commanding 17-0 lead before going into halftime.

Both teams didn't put a point on the board in the third quarter. But in the fourth, Zervos stepped up again and delivered a 47 yard field goal making it 20-0. It all ended for South Pinellas when Countryside's Dante Satcher took the ball on a 15 yard run into the end zone making the final score 27-0.

Charron was named the games overall MVP. Satcher was named the offensive MVP. Seminole's Jamal Jackson was named the defensive MVP. Dunedin's Andrew Gordon was named the defensive line MVP and Countryside's Riley Metheney was named the offensive line MVP.
