USF releases new renderings of first-ever campus football stadium ahead of groundbreaking

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

TAMPA, Fla. — The University of South Florida is releasing a new look at its first-ever, on-campus football stadium ahead of a groundbreaking event for the occasion.

USF officials have unveiled new renderings showcasing three new viewpoints inside and outside the stadium, as well as an evening view of the student section, previously released in September.

The new student section features west-side stadium seating with the iconic "Bull U" logo on display. It will illuminate at night to match the stadium lights.

The night rendering of the student section features a close-up view of the DJ deck with dedicated student-only concessions to provide easy access to food and refreshments.

USF's inaugural stadium also features the "north lawn area," a spot designated for scenic trails, lush tree canopy, various campus events, sponsor activations and guest amenities. It will be accessible throughout all game days.

The on-campus stadium’s concourse, located 10 rows up from the field, also features stadium concessions for attendees.

“We are thrilled to bring our on-campus stadium vision closer to reality, and these new renderings give Bulls fans an exciting glimpse into the game day experience awaiting them,” Vice President for Athletics Michael Kelly said in a statement. “Our priority is to deliver an unparalleled fan experience. Key features of the stadium, such as the inviting north lawn, southside premium tower, and expansive concourse, are specifically designed to enhance comfort and offer unique amenities that cater to our community. This stadium is truly being designed by USF, for USF, reflecting valuable input from our students, alumni, Bulls Nation, and the greater Tampa Bay community to elevate the overall experience.”

The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
