Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB and first-round pick Josh Freeman is making his season debut for the Indianapolis Colts versus the Tennessee Titans in Week 17, according to the Indianapolis Star.
Freeman was signed on December 29 along with Ryan Lindley, formerly of the Arizona Cardinals.
Injuries to Andrew Luck, Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst left the Colts scrambling to field a quarterback for week 17.
The decision to start Freeman was made on Sunday, but local writers were not enthusiastic about how last year's playoff-bound team ended it's 2015 campaign.
Freeman's last football work came with the Brooklyn Bolts of the Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL). His last NFL stint was with the Miami Dolphins in the 2014 preseason before he was placed on waivers.
