TAMPA -- The Buccaneers released veteran punter Michael Koenen on as part of mandatory roster cuts.
The team announced the release Tuesday.
Koenen joined the Bucs in 2011 as a free agent from the Atlanta Falcons.
According to Pro Football Talk, Koenen was due to earn $3.25 million in 2015.
NFL teams have to trim their rosters down to 75 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday. Final cuts will take place Saturday.
