PLANT CITY, Fla. -- The Strawberry Festival is coming up and if you’re planning to go, there are a handful of items you’re not allowed to bring. Your gun is not one of them.
Organizers of the annual celebration of strawberries won’t allow you to bring bottled water or your dog, but as long as you have a concealed carry permit, you can bring your gun, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
“We do not encourage you to bring your weapon on grounds," said Strawberry Festival president Paul Davis. "But if you have a legal right to do it, then you can do it."
The Strawberry Festival opens Thursday and draws half a million guests a year opens Thursday.
