For heaven's snakes! 18-foot python captured in Everglades

A trapper recently caught an 18-foot python in the Everglades, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Wildlife officials say the invasive python has no natural predator in the Everglades, making it a significant threat to the ecosystem.

The South Florida Water Management District pays professional hunters to eliminate pythons in Broward, Collier, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.
