Man who looks like teen arrested for trying to buy beer

When Jose Sanders went to Kroger on Spout Springs Road in Braselton to buy a six-pack of beer on March 26, the clerk didn't believe he was 22.

BRASELTON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) - Jose Sanders looks really young for his age. He's 22 and he even has a Pennsylvania driver's license to prove it.

When Sanders went to Kroger on Spout Springs Road in Braselton to buy a six-pack of beer on March 26, the clerk didn't believe he was 22.

"I pulled out my license. I was kind of angry. I was like, 'I have a right to buy this beer.' I was like, 'You can call the police and let them know what's going on,'" said Sanders.

According to Braselton police, supervisors at Kroger told Sanders they thought his identification was fake, so they decided not sell him the beer.

Police said Sanders cursed inside Kroger at employees and he even used profanity towards officers when they arrived.

But Sanders toldCBS affliate WGCLa different story.

"I did not curse at them," said Sanders.

"Did you curse under your breath while they were there?" asked reporter Tony McNary.

"I might have, but I didn't curse at them," said Sanders.

Police said Sanders would not stop using profanity inside the store, so they arrested him.

"Even if I did by mistake curse, so what? Occasionally most people do slip out," said Sanders.

Kroger employees asked Sanders to leave and police also gave him an option to just leave and go buy beer somewhere else, but they said he refused to go.

Sanders said he was frustrated that people always think he's a kid.

"I get harassed everywhere I go. I'm used to it, but sometimes there is a point in time you have to stand up. I felt I had to stand up," said Sanders.

Police charged Sanders with disorderly conduct.
