NEW YORK (AP) -- Who knew hummus was so versatile? There are hundreds of Middle Eastern dishes one could prepare from the mashed chickpea spread. Or you could sculpt with it. At Kosherfest, a Jewish food trade show in New York, Sabra Food Products hired Kirk Rademaker to build a bust of Mayor Michael Bloomberg out of hummus. A perfect likeness it wasn't. Rademaker lamented that he got the forehead too high. But it was his first venture in hummus art. The San Francisco-based artist usually sculpts in sand.
