Two 16-year-old males were injured in a tubing accident during a birthday party in East Lake in Pasco County.
The two teenagers were injured while riding in a tube being towed by another 16-year-old in a personal water craft. A second vessel passed by and forced the driver to swerve out of the way. This caused the tube to careen into a dock.
One 16-year-old is in critical condition and the other juvenile is in stable condition at St. Joseph's Hospital. The driver of the watercraft was not injured.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Council is investigating the crash. Criminal charges could be pending if there was no adult was in the area and if the 16-year-old driver was not in possession of a Florida boater's safety card.
