TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. -- One person is dead in a three-car crash at a Tampa-area intersection near Interstate 75.
Two other people were taken to an area hospital for treatment with various injuries. All were adults but not identified.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, on Fowler at Gillette avenues. Westbound Fowler Avenue was shut down to traffic.
Firefighters working to put out a fire on one car later was seen covering up the vehicle with a sheet. One person inside did not survive.
Drivers can take East Fletcher Avenue to the north or Temple Terrace Highway to the south. They cannot use the northbound and southbound ramps to westbound Fowler Avenue on I-75.
