FORT MEADE, Fla. (WTSP) -- Three parks in Polk County are getting big upgrades thanks to the state Department of Environmental Protection.
Fort Meade got a $100,000 grant to renovate parts of the Peace River Park. It's a pretty area, but near the boat ramp the benches are old and it's mostly dirt roads.
The city will also upgrade the bathroom facilities there.
Mulberry and Lake Hamilton got $50,000 each to improve parks in their communities.
