St. Petersburg, Florida - The force was strong at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg Sunday where about a dozen Star Wars characters invaded the hospital rooms of sick children.
The forces of good and evil worked together to put a smile on the kids faces. The parents of the sick children loved it too.
Jennifer Herkel's son is hospitalized. She says, "They're just like super heroes for real because they brighten the day. They make him think about other things besides sickness - what his pain is - so they make him smile - they're true superheroes."
The people who dress up in costume do it for free as members of the non profit groups the 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion. They have chapters all over the world and in the Tampa Bay area.
