Polk County sheriff’s deputies arrested a registered sex offender who is accused of sexually battering a minor.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said Frank Keller sent a 14-year-old girl text messages asking her for sex. Keller is also accused of telling the girl he would give alcohol to her mother, so he and the girl could have sex.
According to the sheriff’s office, Keller is a registered sex offender in Michigan.
"This guy is a classic sexual predator, who preys on children no matter where he lives,” Sheriff Grady Judd said. “He needs to be locked up where he never has access to a child again."
The sheriff’s office said Keller admitted to deputies he sent the texts, provided alcohol to the mother and sexually battered the girl.
Keller, 55, of Davenport is charged with battery of a minor and using a computer to seduce a child. Authorities are holding Keller in the Polk County Jail on $21,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
