WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Winter Haven police are looking for witnesses who may have information about a fiery crash that happened early Sunday morning.

When officers arrived at the crash in front of St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Highway 17, they found a car engulfed in flames but the driver was nowhere to be found, according to a Facebook post. The witness who reported the incident already saw the crashed car on fire and police couldn't find anyone in the car or around it.

The car appears to be a blue Hyundai Sonata that was traveling north and slammed into a traffic light pole. The lights at the intersection were out for about four hours before being repaired.
