PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. — A passenger died after a fall aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship traveling from Florida this weekend, according to reports.
TMZ was the first to report that a 16-year-old fell from a balcony onto a deck on the Allure of the Seas while the ship was headed from Port Canaveral to Nassau, Bahamas. It's not clear what events led up to the fall.
Despite extensive efforts to save the teen's life, he later passed away at the hospital, according to the publication.
"We are saddened to learn of the passing of a guest and our hearts go out to the family. Out of respect for them, we won’t provide any further comment," Royal Caribbean said in a statement to 10 Tampa Bay.
