KEY LARGO, Fla. — One person was airlifted to the hospital Friday afternoon after a small plane crashed on a golf course in the Florida Keys, investigators said.
A call came in around 12:43 p.m. to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office reporting the crash at the Ocean Reef's golf course in Key Largo.
The person who was injured is believed to be the pilot.
Chopper video from CBS News Miami shows the crash site near a pond at the Card Sound Golf Club. The front part of the plane is damaged. The video shows the crash site is near the Ocean Club Airport runway.
It's not clear if the plane was trying to land at the airport, or what caused the crash.
