ORLANDO, Fla. — Fifty years since we first traveled to Sesame Street on PBS, kids and adults can finally step into the home of Elmo, Cookie Monster and Big Bird.
SeaWorld announced it will open its Sesame Street land on March 27. The expanded area will have wet and dry play areas, rides and a fully-interactive neighborhood full of classic characters.
The 6-acre land is an overhaul of Shamu's Happy Harbor play area.
Attractions coming to Sesame Street

- Big Bird's Twirl 'n' Whirl
- Cookie Drop
- Count-Around Playground
- Elmo's Choo Choo Train
- Rubber Duckie Water Works
- Slimey's Slider
- Super Grover's Box Car Derby
Sesame Stree will also have a Party Parade, Storytime with Big Bird and meet-and-greets with Elmo and his friends. Food options include multiple Sesame Street-themed food and drink trucks.
"With over 30 new ways to play and an award-winning parade, this is an attraction that guests of all ages are going to love," Mark Pauls, president of SeaWorld Orlando, said.
