Volusia County students involved in senior prank reportedly facing disciplinary action

DELAND, Fla. — With graduation season in full swing, senior graduates around the country are pulling one last laugh with a traditional "senior prank."

However, leaders at one Volusia County school are looking to take disciplinary action following a prank that left a campus toilet-papered, wrapped and spray-painted.

In a report from WKMG-TV, officers found seniors at around 3:25 a.m. Monday at Deland High School and found several walls had been spray-painted.

Police tell the news outlet that school officials were notified of the situation which was handed to the school district for further investigation.

Volusia County Schools said that there was no permanent damage to the property, the spray paint was cleaned up and there were no disruptions to Monday's classes, the article said.

Students involved in the prank who violate the student code of conduct will reportedly be disciplined, however, it is not clear how many students were involved.
