MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — A semi-truck burst into flames after it was struck by an Amtrak train carrying 72 passengers and 14 crew members in Florida, the Martin County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook.
The truck driver was reportedly trying to cross the rails around 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Southwest Warfield Boulevard and Southwest Amaryllis Avenue in Indiantown, Martin County Fire Rescue added on Facebook.
Fire crews were able to knock down the blaze and said no one was injured. The truck driver and passenger were able to escape the crash with minor injuries, fire rescue said.
