A 26-year-old woman was also hurt after she was trampled as the crowd scrambled to get to safety during the shooting. She was not shot, police said.
Not long after police responded to the shooting, the 17-year-old boy was found on Washington and Orange and taken into custody. Police said more than 100 officers were patrolling downtown at the time of the shooting because of the large crowd during Halloween.
