Missing Child Alert issued for 2 children out of Southwest Florida

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for two children out of Lee County.

Brenda Mateo Juarez, 12, and Marlyn Lopez Gondinez, 15, were last seen in the area of Wanda and Crocker avenues in Lehigh Acres, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. However, their last known location was in the area of Palm Beach Boulevard and Ortiz Avenue in Fort Myers.

They may be in the company of an adult male, whose description is unknown at this time.

Juarez has been missing since March 5 but because of an ongoing investigation, her status and that of Gondinez has been upgraded to a Missing Child Alert, law enforcement said.

Juarez is a white-Hispanic female, 4-feet, 1-inch tall and weighs 70 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Gondinez also is a white-Hispanic female who is 4-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 80 pounds. She, too, has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about the children's whereabouts is asked to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 239-477-1000 or dial 911.
