GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Missing Child Alert issued for 12-year-old Cheyenne Mathis has been canceled, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
The girl has been found safe, FDLE added.

A Florida Missing Child Alert has been issued for a 12-year-old girl in Gainesville.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says Cheyenne Mathis was last seen in the area near Northwest 32nd Place and Northwest 27 Street. The agency did not say when she was last seen.
She may be with an unknown man in his 20s-30s, according to authorities.
Mathis was last seen wearing a brown shirt and pink pants and may be carrying a backpack. Her hair may be straightened and in a ponytail.
