HOMESTEAD, Fla. — Update: She was found safe.

Florida authorities are searching for an 8-year-old girl they say may be traveling with two adults.

Liah Meza was last seen in the area of Northwest 1st Avenue in Homestead wearing a dark-colored t-shirt, shorts and possibly glasses. The 8-year-old is described as being 4 feet tall and 60 pounds with brown eyes and light brown hair.

Authorities say Liah may be in the company of Geovany Maresma-Burcet and Yailen Roche, both 38 years old.

Maresma-Burcet is described as a 5-foot-5, 180-pound man with black hair and brown eyes. Roche is a 5-foot-4, 130-pound woman with black hair and brown eyes, according to the Florida Missing Child Alert.

Both adults were last seen wearing gray shirts and black shorts. Authorities say they may be traveling with Liahn in a 2021 white Honda Pilot with Florida license plate QEAE24.

The car is said to have a bicycle rack that obstructs the rear license plate and may be in the Lafayette, Louisiana area.

If you see the child or the adults she is suspected to be traveling with, law enforcement says you should not approach them. Call 911 instead.
