4 men charged with carjacking, kidnapping resulting in death of South Florida woman

The arrests come after a whirlwind of events after cell phone video captured the carjacking and kidnapping of a South Florida woman.

ORLANDO, Fla. — A grand jury indicted four men Thursday in the case involving the carjacking and kidnapping of a South Florida woman.

Orlando natives Jordanish Torres Garcia, along with Kevin Ocasio Justiniano, Giovany Crespo Hernandez and Dereck Alexis Rodriguez Bonilla, were allegedly involved in the carjacking and kidnapping that led to the death of 31-year-old Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvias, according to a Department of Justice news release.

If convicted on all counts, they each face life in prison or the death penalty, the release said.

The four men were arrested following the kidnapping and after an investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies from federal, state and local levels, according to the DOJ.

Just before 6 p.m. on April 11, a witness recorded the carjacking of Aguasvias’ white Dodge Durango at the intersection of East Lake Drive and Tuskawilla Road in the Winter Springs area.

It showed the moment a hooded man wearing a “ninja mask” pointed an automatic handgun toward her sitting in the driver’s side of the car, officials said.

Moments before, the man who was in a green Acura rammed into the car's bumper, prompting Aguasvias to call her husband about what happened. He told her not to stop.

The man eventually climbed into the backseat and demanded she drive to a rural area in Osceola County miles away. The Durango was later found by Osceola County deputies at that location, burned with her body in the driver’s seat.
