TAMPA, Fla. — Florida offers 175 specialty license plates to fund causes, organizations and schools across the state and more residents are purchasing the designed plates every year.
As of Dec. 1, more than 2.2 million drivers are registered with a special plate, but which one is the most popular?
Endless Summer, which features a picture of a person holding a surfboard with a sunset in the background, is the best-selling plate with a total of 138,977 registrations, according to the state's Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
It costs $25 and the most registrations are in Palm Beach County with more than 9,000.
Some of the plates include ones themed around Margaritaville, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Recycle Florida.
