TAMPA, Fla. — Florida offers over 100 specialty license plates to fund causes and organizations across the state, but which ones are the most popular?
Gov. DeSantis recently signed a law for the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to design more plates including one themed around Margaritaville, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Recycle Florida and many other causes. Each plate costs an additional $15 to $25 a year and part of the proceeds go toward the organization associated with the plate.
