ORLANDO, Fla. — Players of a Flordia baseball team cheered, laughed and smiled as they celebrated their historic victory in the Little League World Series with a parade at Walt Disney World.

The Lake Mary Little League baseball team spent the day at the theme park after winning the title on Saturday in Pennsylvania. They defeated the Chinese Taipei 2-1 in extra innings, marking the first time a baseball team from the Sunshine State won the title.

The players and coaches joined iconic characters like Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck, who were also wearing baseball jerseys, for a special parade and even sang 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' in front of the park's baseball-themed restaurant.

Pictures show the boys with smiles from ear to ear, enjoying the festivities, and even wearing their own customized Mickey Mouse ears that said "Little League Champs '24" on the back in their signature yellow color. The coaches joined in on the fun as pictures showed them on top of floats with the players celebrating their victory.

"It's just amazing going on the rides because Disney is the most magical place in the world and it's just a cool experience," said infielder Chase Anderson.

Video shows the players and coaches parading through the park waving to park-goers as they cheered and clapped. It also showed the boys screaming and laughing with their teammates as they enjoyed the rides.

Disney said the team "followed in the footsteps of some of sports' greatest heroes" by spending the day interacting with characters and going on rides. The park pointed to the South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley's visit earlier this year as she celebrated her team's NCAA championship.

"It's awesome because I know other celebrities have done this, and it's just crazy to know that I was just in a Walt Disney parade," said player Teraj Alexander.
