STUART, Fla. — A Florida flight student retaliated after his instructors told him he couldn't take a solo flight, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said 23-year-old Sumebh Singh, a student at Treasure Coast Flight School in Stuart, got angry when his instructors wouldn't let him fly a plane by himself.
School officials then saw Singh on video "going from plane to plane causing damage to each of the aircraft," the sheriff's office wrote.
Singh reportedly vandalized 10 planes in total, damaging items such as the plane's throttle.
All of the planes will be grounded until mechanics can inspect them and ensure they are safe to fly.
Singh was arrested at the flight school and charged with felony criminal mischief. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
