ANNA MARIA, Fla. — Anna Maria Island attracts lots of tourists, but here's a guest the chamber of commerce might not welcome.
Corrine Lough was on a boat about 300 feet off the island's shore when a hammerhead shark began to circle the vessel.
According to National Geographic, hammerhead sharks are about 13 to 20 feet long and can weigh up to 1,000 pounds. Their wide-set eyes give them a better visual range than other sharks.
Few attacks on humans have been reported.
