Checkers Drive-In restaurant officials announced Wednesday they found malware at more than 100 locations across the country.
The data breach affects 15 Checkers restaurants in Florida, including nine in the Tampa Bay area.
In Florida, the breach happened from October 2016 through April 2019 depending on the restaurant.
The breach also happened at Checkers restaurants in Alabama, Arizona, California, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
Anyone with questions can call 1(844)386-9554 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday. They can also call from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sunday.
