CASSELBERRY, Fla. — Chabad of Greater Orlando, a synagogue in Seminole County, went up in flames Sunday morning, the Seminole County Fire Department said in a news release.
The two-alarm fire reportedly started around 11:13 a.m. At this time, the department says the fire has been put out and that there were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to firefighters.
The Casselberry Police Department told 10 Tampa Bay that the fire impacted the Congregation Ahavas Yisrael building and that the adjacent Hebrew school was evacuated.
No one was inside the building when it caught fire and no one was seen coming or leaving other than the people authorized to be there, CPD said.
The synagogue set up a fundraiser page online to help raise funds for rebuilding.
