FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — An investigation is underway after a body was found inside a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon at a Walmart parking lot in South Florida, officials say.
At around 4:30 p.m., authorities in Davie, Florida, arrived at the Walmart located on University Drive, CBS Miami reports.
The body was found inside the truck parked towards the rear of the lot when police arrived, according to WPLG-TV.
A spokesperson for the Davie Police Department reportedly said they have not yet determined if foul play was involved in the person's death. They have also not yet identified the person or how long they were in the truck before being found.
CBS Miami says officials are still in the early stages of their investigation.
