DAVIE, Fla. — An Amber Alert is canceled after a presumed kidnapped baby girl out of South Florida was found safe, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.
Amelia Martinez, an 8-month-old had been last seen Tuesday in the area of SW 148 Avenue near Palomino Drive in Davie, a city about 30 miles north of Miami.
Authorities said during the active Amber Alert that the child may have been with 34-year-old Arys Martinez.
FDLE said at the time that the pair could have been traveling in a white 2021 Toyota Camry. A possible destination for the pair was thought to be the Orlando area, authorities added.
Anyone who may know the whereabouts of the baby or Arys Martinez was asked to contact FDLE or the Davie Police Department at 954-693-8200 or 911.
