ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Red tide concentrations increased over the past week along southwest Florida's coasts, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
High concentrations were found on coasts in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota counties.
Fish kills were reported in Pinellas, Manatee, and Sarasota counties, and respiratory irritation was reported in Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota and Lee counties.
High concentrations were found in Lee County in the state's northwest and along Brevard, Indian River, and St. Lucie counties on the east coast.
