Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin speaks to guests at the Iowa Freedom Summit on January 24, 2015 in Des Moines, Iowa. The summit is hosting a group of potential 2016 Republican presidential candidates to discuss core conservative principles ahead of the January 2016 Iowa Caucuses.

(USA TODAY) At the Iowa Freedom Summit over the weekend, Republican Sarah Palin displayed a "Ready for Hillary" magnet to exhort the crowd to oppose likely Democratic presidential contender Hillary Rodham Clinton.

"Hey Iowa, can anyone stop Hillary?" the GOP's 2008 vice presidential nominee asked the crowd. "To borrow a phrase, 'Yes, we can.' And it starts here, and it starts now."

Officials with Ready for Hillary, a pro-Clinton super PAC, quickly seized on the speech to send fundraising appeals to supporters. As of Wednesday morning, the group had raised more than $50,000.

Ready for Hillary's executive director, Adam Parkhomenko, said the haul means that Palin actually qualifies for the PAC's national finance council, though "we will wait until Sarah calls before officially adding her name."
