TAMPA, Fla. — First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will be making a stop in Tampa during her trip to the Sunshine State this weekend.
According to a news release from the White House, Dr. Biden will arrive at Tampa International Airport at 11:30 p.m. Friday after a full day of events throughout North and South Carolina.
While the first lady will be flying into TPA, she doesn't have any scheduled appearances in the Tampa Bay area.
Her schedule says she'll travel to Palm Harbor on Saturday afternoon to deliver remarks at a political finance event for the Biden Victory Fund.
Dr. Biden is then set to arrive in Houston at 4:45 p.m. to speak at another Biden Victory Fund event.

The first lady traveled to Tampa back in February 2022 for a visit to Tampa's Moffitt Cancer Center. It was part of the Biden administration's Cancer Moonshot initiative.
She met with doctors to learn more about the facility and discuss the administration's goal to cut the cancer death rate in half over the next 25 years and improve the experiences of people living with the disease.
